Ilham Aliyev received Iranian Parliament Speaker Bagher Ghalibaf.
Aliyev highlighted the recent active exchange of visits between the parties.
He also stressed the importance of the North-South Corridor and said that Azerbaijan is taking measures to increase cargo traffic through its section of the corridor.
During the meeting, Aliyev noted the importance of the "3+3" format and said that the region's countries should resolve regional issues without the intervention of external forces.
Ghalibaf, in turn, noted that Iran and Azerbaijan have common interests in ensuring regional stability, and Tehran supports the approach of the region's countries to resolving issues.
Ghalibaf stressed the importance of the "3+3" format and noted the close cooperation and mutual support between Azerbaijan and Iran within the framework of international organizations.
