Archaeologists have discovered the tomb of Pharaoh Thutmose II. The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism has called the discovery the most significant find.
The original burial place of King Thutmose II, one of the rulers of the 18th dynasty of ancient Egypt, has remained a mystery until now. Although the remains of his mummy were discovered two hundred years ago in a cache at Deir el-Bahri, the location of his tomb was unknown.
The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism said the discovery is one of the most significant archaeological advances in recent years.
