"I'm persuading the Trump team to intervene in the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process." Bryza

Former US Ambassador to Azerbaijan and former OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair Matthew Bryza spoke to Vesti.az about the Trump administration's influence on the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process.

Bryza said he is trying to convince the Trump team to get involved in the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process.

"I am trying to convince Trump and his team to intervene in this issue to restore America's diplomatic role in this settlement. If Trump wants to be a peacemaker, this is a great opportunity for him," he said.

According to Bryza, the parties are close to peace. "We know both sides are close to an agreement, but Pashinyan has serious political resistance. I hope that Trump will want to contribute. Let's see. He is focused on strengthening his power in Washington and prioritizes peace between Ukraine and Russia," he emphasized.
