Negotiations between the Russian and American delegations have just begun in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. Sergey Lavrov and Yuri Ushakov represent the Russian side.
The American delegation is represented by Marco Rubio, Michael Waltz, and Steve Witkoff.
The meeting is expected to be mainly devoted to restoring Russian-American relations. In addition, the negotiations will discuss resolving the Ukrainian problem.
