During the negotiations, the Russian and US delegations presented their principled positions on the Ukrainian settlement and agreed that separate teams of negotiators on this issue would establish contact. The Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov reported this.
“We discussed, presented our principled approaches, and agreed that separate teams of negotiators on this issue would establish contact when the time comes,” he said.
“The Americans will appoint their representatives, we will appoint our representatives, and then, probably, the work will proceed,” Ushakov added, noting that the composition is unclear.
