Le Figaro reports that French President Emmanuel Macron spoke with US President Donald Trump ahead of the EU security summit in Paris.
Neither the Elysee Palace nor the White House have yet made a statement.
According to the latest information, in addition to Macron himself, the meeting will be attended by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and two senior EU officials - European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen - are also invited.
