Zelenskyy left for the UAE

AP News reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky left for the United Arab Emirates late Sunday night. The UAE will host a meeting of US and Russian representatives, where they will discuss ending the war in Ukraine and establishing peace.

Former US President Donald Trump said he could meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Saudi Arabia last week.

Zelensky arrived in Abu Dhabi after attending the Munich Security Conference in Germany. A video released by his office shows the Ukrainian president and his wife, Olena Zelenska, being greeted at the airport by an Emirati official and an honor guard.

“Our top priority is to free more people from captivity,” Zelensky’s office said. “We will also focus on investment and economic partnerships, as well as large-scale humanitarian programs.”
