The United States wants to ensure peace in Ukraine not only by Europe but also by military personnel after the ceasefire. As reported by The Economist, they propose to involve peacekeepers from China and Brazil.
These forces can be deployed along the future ceasefire line. It should act as a buffer zone.
It is reported that US Vice President J.D. Vance told European allies that only a European contingent would be ineffective in preventing new attacks by Russia.
