Keith Kellogg, the US president's special envoy for Russia and Ukraine, said the United States and Europe must ensure Ukraine's sovereignty.
"We have made more progress on Ukraine in 30 days than the previous administration made in three years," he said.
Kellogg added that European allies can play a significant role in this matter.
