At the Munich Security Conference, US Vice President Vance harshly criticized the policies of the European Union and individual European countries.
“The threat to Europe that worries me most is not Russia, nor is it China. What worries me is the threat coming from within, the retreat of Europe from its core values,” Vance said.
The US Vice President also announced that he was ready to go to Russia for talks on Ukraine.
In particular, he criticized the cancellation of the elections in Romania, calling it a “departure from democracy.”
He also accused the EU of violating freedom of speech. “Europe has departed from our common values,” Vance said.
