US and India want to increase trade volume to $500 billion

The United States and India want to double bilateral trade to $500 billion (€478 billion) by 2030, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said during a press conference with US President Donald Trump in Washington on February 13.

The cooperation will focus primarily on artificial intelligence and semiconductors and on building strong supply chains for strategic minerals.

According to Trump, India is ready to reduce tariffs on American goods and import more American oil and gas to reduce the bilateral trade deficit.
