Vance threatened Putin with sanctions and military action

The US authorities will impose sanctions against Russia and send its military to Ukraine if Putin refuses to negotiate to end the war.

US Vice President J.D. Fence made such a statement in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. According to him, these measures may be necessary to persuade Putin to agree with Ukraine.

“There are economic levers, and, of course, there are military levers that the United States can use against Putin,” Vance said in an interview with the newspaper.

The US Vice President stated that Ukraine should have “sovereign independence.”

“There are many configurations, but we are committed to ensuring that Ukraine has sovereign independence,” he said.

Vance noted that the option of sending US troops to Ukraine if Moscow fails to negotiate in good faith remains “on the table.” As the WSJ reported, the politician made the statement in a much harsher tone.
