The IAEA reported that on the night of February 14, an explosion occurred at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant near the new protective wall protecting the destroyed fourth reactor. The drone hit the roof, after which a fire broke out.
Ukrainian President Zelensky also published a video blaming the Russian side for the incident.
“A Russian strike drone with a powerful explosive warhead hit the radiation shelter of the destroyed 4th power unit of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant tonight,” Zelensky wrote.
It is reported that the radiation background has not increased at present, and it is constantly monitored.
