"Turkey will continue to strive for the establishment of a Palestinian state." Erdogan

Turkey will continue to patiently fight for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with the 1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during a joint press conference with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad.

The Turkish leader again sharply criticized plans to resettle refugees from the Gaza Strip in Arab countries.

“We must strengthen our firm stance against illegal initiatives to expel the residents of Gaza from their homeland,” he stressed.
