NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said the Trump-Putin talks give the impression that peace talks in Ukraine have begun.
Trump's call to Putin was quite successful. When asked by a journalist whether Rutte considered this the beginning of a betrayal of Ukraine, he noted that we should not forget that after calling Putin, the US president also called Zelensky.
"We all want peace for Ukraine. We want to make sure that Ukraine is in the strongest position. We will see how everything develops from now on. The Ukrainian issue is connected to all other issues," Rutte summed up.
