US President Donald Trump has commented on his phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"I just spoke with President Zelensky of Ukraine. The conversation went very well. He, like President Putin, wants to make peace.
We discussed various topics related to the war, mainly the meeting with US Vice President Vance and Secretary of State Rubio in Munich on Friday.
I am hopeful that the results of this meeting will be positive. It is time to end this senseless war that has led to massive and utterly unnecessary death and destruction. May God bless the people of Russia and Ukraine," Trump wrote.
