Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has accused the United States of trying to undermine his government.
Speaking today on the 46th anniversary of the Iranian Revolution, Pezeshkian said that US President Donald Trump is trying to bring the country "to its knees."
Iran has become increasingly frustrated with Trump for resuming the "maximum pressure" campaign he launched during his first term.
"Trump says he wants to negotiate, but at the same time, he is signing up to any possible conspiracy aimed at bringing this revolution to its knees. He claims to be open to dialogue, but by saying that, he is accusing Iran of destabilizing the region," the Iranian president said.
Pezeshkian stressed that Iran does not seek war but will never bow to a foreigner.
"If we join forces, we can solve all the country's problems," the president said, accusing the United States of trying to "divide" the country.
