About 45,000 Ukrainian and 300-350,000 Russian soldiers died in the war. Zelensky

About 45,100 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed and 390,000 wounded in the war with Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a recent interview with Piers Morgan.

Two months ago, Zelensky reported 43,000 dead and 370,000 wounded.

The Ukrainian leader then estimated Russian losses at about 200,000 dead and 550,000 wounded, but now he says the enemy has lost 300-350,000 soldiers, 70,000 missing, and 700,000 wounded.

The UALosses project estimates the number of casualties in the Ukrainian armed forces at 63,000 since February 2022.

The Russian side does not provide official data on its losses. Journalists and volunteers have been able to find out from open sources the names of at least 91,000 Russian soldiers who died in Ukraine. The data is from the end of January and is updated regularly.
