NATO Secretary General calls on Germany to significantly increase defense spending

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte has called on Germany to significantly increase its defense spending and weapons production.

“Germany must spend more and produce more,” Rutte said in an interview with Bild.

He noted that the situation with Russia and China, which is increasing its military capabilities, is dangerous.

“I tell you clearly: we must prepare for war. This is the best way to avoid war,” Rutte explained.

“Given the size of the German economy, we naturally want it to do much more,” Rutte added.
