According to the document, the use of state funds for gender reassignment surgery or hormone therapy for people under 19 years of age is prohibited.
In a statement on the signing of the decree, trans-transitioning operations are described as a "dangerous trend" that brings a stain on the United States:
"Countless children later regret that they were disfigured and begin to realize the tragedy that they will never be able to, for example, become mothers," the White House statement said.
