Serbian Prime Minister resigns

During an emergency government briefing, Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vukčević announced that he had resigned amid mass protests.

"I believe that the politics to which I belong, the party that I lead, which has won all elections since 2012 with the president of the republic - presidential, parliamentary, local, many times - must show the highest degree of responsibility, must show new patterns in Serbian politics, show that it is the most responsible. Therefore, I decided to resign from the post of Prime Minister of Serbia," Vukčević said.
