The Azerbaijani TURAN agency reports that Azerbaijan may participate in Turkey's military operation in Syria.
Colonel General Hikmet Mirzayev, the deputy minister of defense of Azerbaijan, has arrived at the Keles settlement on the Turkish-Syrian border.
According to the Turkish Defense Ministry, the Azerbaijani military met with the Turkish special forces' command.
Commander of the Ground Forces of the Turkish Air Force Bayraktaroglu reported on the military cooperation and coordination of operations between the Turkish and Azerbaijani ground forces and the operational experience gained.
"Earlier, the Azerbaijani leadership announced that it would participate in the reconstruction of Syria with Turkey. Hikmet Mirzayev's visit also speaks of Baku's intention to participate in military operations in Syria," the TURAN agency reported.
