Turkey's Special Representative for the Armenian-Turkish Normalization Process, Serdar Kilic, met with Kars Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Kadir Bozan in Ankara.
The parties discussed the issues of opening the Armenian-Turkish border crossing "Eastern Gate" in the Akyaka district of Kars and its possible socio-economic consequences for the region.
According to Turkish media, Serdar Kilic presented the essence of the Armenian-Turkish process at the meeting and emphasized its importance for the region and Turkey.
In his speech, Kars Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Kadir Bozan noted that they are closely following the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Armenia. He said that eliminating problems between them and opening the border crossing through the Eastern Gate will significantly promote the economic and social development of not only Kars but also the region.
