Ukrainian media reported that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Ukraine has suspended all projects and spending following an order from Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Payments to most foreign aid programs have been frozen for 90 days, and new grants have been suspended.
USAID supports the reconstruction of schools, the provision of health services, and the repair of critical energy infrastructure in Ukraine.
