The Trump administration has launched new talks with Turkey this week, focusing on bilateral and regional issues, including peace in the South Caucasus, the Azerbaijani TURAN news agency reported.
TURAN's Washington correspondent reports that Turkish Ambassador to the United States Sedat Onal will meet today with Louis Bono, who previously served as the Biden administration's adviser on Caucasus negotiations.
Now, the Trump administration has elevated Bono to the State Department's Director of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs.
It should be recalled that newly appointed US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and discussed the importance of establishing a stable and dignified peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
