Trump did not rule out sanctions against Russia

US President Donald Trump has announced that he will most likely impose sanctions on Russia if President Vladimir Putin refuses to negotiate on ending the war in Ukraine, Reuters reports.

Trump did not provide details on possible additional sanctions. He only noted that his administration is also considering sending weapons to Ukraine, adding that he thinks the European Union should do more to support Ukraine.

"We're talking to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and we're going to talk to President Putin very soon," Trump said.

Trump called on Chinese President Xi Jinping to intervene to end the war in Ukraine. Although he hasn't done much in that direction, he has much power, just like us. I said, "You have to handle it." We discussed that issue.
