"Migrants arriving in Mexico will be deported." P6resident

Illegal migrants arriving in Mexico to enter the United States will be sent back to their countries of origin, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced during a briefing at the National Palace in Mexico City.

"There is an agreement with all Central American countries, especially Guatemala. There is an agreement with Cuba. Illegal migrants should be deported to the place from where they arrived," the head of state emphasized.

At the same time, the president assured that humanitarian assistance would be provided to illegal migrants in Mexico.

"If these people are in Mexico, we will give them humanitarian attention, but as part of our migration policy, we want them to go back to their country of origin because they are foreigners," Sheinbaum said.
