Iran is ready to resume negotiations with the United States on the issue of sanctions cancellation if the new US President Donald Trump expresses his desire, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic Kazem Gharib Abadi announced on the SNN TV channel.
"Iran, as before, is ready to start or resume negotiations on lifting sanctions. If the other side expresses such a desire, negotiations will take place," he answered the question about the possibility of starting a dialogue with Trump.
"We believe that there are proper opportunities for dialogue and mutual understanding. Everyone knows that Iran's nuclear program is peaceful, and unilateral and illegal sanctions have not achieved their goals. The most reasonable way is to start negotiations on lifting sanctions, which is the right way. We have agreed to continue the negotiations and will decide the date and time through the consultations we have held," said Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister.
