French President Emmanuel Macron stated that Kyiv must do everything to endure and enter future negotiations with Russia from a position of strength, Le Monde reports.
"Once hostilities cease, the challenge will be to provide Ukraine with guarantees against any return to war on its territory, as well as our security guarantees," he said.
In addition, Macron announced a plan to "mobilize" more volunteers to reinforce the army, if necessary, in the event of "increasing danger" after the war in Ukraine.
