KNA Catholic News Agency reports that Pope Francis announced on the Italian talk show "Che tempo che fa" that he plans to appoint nun Raffaella Petrini as the Vatican's prime minister in March.
Petrini has served as the Secretary General of the Vatican Governorate since 2021. She will succeed Archbishop Fernando Verges Alsaga as the head of the city-state government, who will turn 80 on March 1, 2025.
