The Monterey County Emergency Response Department reported a fire at a large power plant in Moss Landing, California.
According to the department, evacuations have been announced in 8 regions. Residents are advised to close windows and doors and turn off ventilation systems.
According to the Santa Cruz Sentinel newspaper, the facility where the fire occurred is one of the largest battery power plants in the world, containing tens of thousands of lithium batteries.
