Israel is preparing to approve the cease-fire agreement in Gaza

Reuters writes: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office announced that the Israeli cabinet will hold a meeting to approve the ceasefire agreement with Hamas in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages.

Due to disagreements between the ministers, Israel postponed Thursday's session, during which the government was supposed to state its position on the agreement, instead blaming Hamas for the delay.

But this morning, Netanyahu's office announced that confirmation was inevitable. "The group of negotiators informed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that agreements have been reached regarding the release of the hostages," the statement said.

The ceasefire agreement is expected to be enforced on Sunday after official approval.

Meanwhile, Israeli bombers continue to carry out intense strikes in Gaza, and the Palestinian Authority reports that at least 86 people were killed the day after the ceasefire was announced.
