US President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump announced that they contributed to reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
Biden said the deal builds heavily on a proposal he made in May. And the new administration will implement it.
Trump, for his part, was quick to point out on social media that the deal resulted from his efforts, emphasizing that his administration reached the agreement after months of deadlocked negotiations.
