Hamas accepted the draft agreement on the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of dozens of hostages, the Associated Press reported, citing its sources.
According to the newspaper, US and Qatari mediators have announced that Israel and the Palestinian group are very close to signing an agreement that will bring them one step closer to ending the 15-month war.
HAMS also noted that the negotiations have reached their final stage. Some of the hostages are reportedly being held by other terrorist groups in Gaza, such as the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which said Tuesday evening it had sent a delegation to Doha to take part in talks on the final details of the deal.
The Saudi newspaper Al-Hadath reported Tuesday evening that Hamas had begun dividing the hostages into groups ahead of their expected release.
