The general director of "Russia Today" agency, TV presenter Dmitry Kiselyov, told Russian NEWS.ru that he does not know why the Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin was summoned to the MFA of the republic because of his statement during the broadcast of the "Вести недели" program. He did not comment on what happened, stating there was nothing to say.
"I don't understand which specific expression offended the Armenian brothers. For now, there is nothing to comment on," said Kiselyov.
According to another publication of NEWS.ru, Yerevan is upset by Dmitry Kiselyov's statements about the Zangezur corridor.
"Yerevan sent a note of protest to Moscow after the "News of the Week" program about the Zangezur corridor. There, Kiselyov stated that the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, completely ignored his commitment in the tripartite declaration and Aliyev's categorical demand to open that way finally," says the NEWS.ru publication.
