Princess of Wales Catherine Middleton announced that she has started remission. BBC reports that she wrote about this on social networks and visited the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she was treated.
In her post, Catherine noted that she is still "focused on recovery."
"Like everyone who has been diagnosed with cancer, I also need time to adjust to a new normal life. However, I look forward to an active and fulfilling year," the princess wrote, signing the note with "K."
The health problems of the Princess of Wales became known for the first time a year ago when she underwent abdominal surgery. In March 2024, Catherine publicly spoke about her diagnosis. Six months later, in September, she announced that he had completed a course of chemotherapy and added that "now I will do everything not to get cancer again."
According to the British charity Cancer Research UK, "remission" means the absence of visible signs of cancer after treatment. However, malignant tumors can sometimes reappear, which is why doctors use the word "remission" instead of considering the treatment entirely successful.
