Erdogan called Aliyev

On January 8, the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, called the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. The telephone conversation discussed bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey and regional and global issues.

Erdogan emphasized that cooperation between the two countries will develop in all fields, according to the principle of "one nation, two states." The Turkish President said his country fully supports the efforts to achieve stable peace in the South Caucasus region and noted that he will always be by Azerbaijan's side.

Aliyev, for his part, said that the relations of Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood, friendship, and strategic alliance are developing on the principle of "One nation, two states" and emphasized that the two countries are always close to each other.
