On January 7, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, said in an interview with local TV channels, "Armenia should immediately stop arming. France and other countries supplying it with arms should break and cancel these agreements."
"Weapons already supplied to Armenia must be returned. That is our condition. Let it perceive as it wants," Aliyev said.
