The European Union will not allow other countries to attack its sovereign borders. Stated the French Foreign Minister, responding to the comments of the newly elected US President Donald Trump about the occupation of Greenland.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot stated that he does not believe that the USA will invade the Arctic island, which has been a part of Denmark for about 600 years.
"It is clear that the European Union will not allow other countries of the world to attack its sovereign borders, regardless of who they are. We are a strong continent," Barrot said in an interview with the France Inter radio station.
The French Foreign Minister emphasized that Trump would not invade Greenland, but now the time has come for the strongest to survive.
The minister emphasized that the EU should not be intimidated or worried but should wake up and strengthen its positions.
