The acting president was impeached in South Korea

Most of South Korea's parliament voted to impeach acting president Han Duck-soo.

"I respect the parliament's decision and will suspend my duties by relevant laws to avoid further chaos and uncertainty," Soo said.

On December 14, the South Korean parliament impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol, voting to remove him from official duties. After that, Prime Minister Han Duck-soo became the acting president.
