The Prime Minister of Georgia considers unlikely the scenario in which the authorities will have to deport Salome Zurabishvili from the Orbeliani Palace after the inauguration of the newly elected President Mikheil Kavelashvili.
However, Irakli Kobakhidze does not rule out such a development, stressing that Salome Zurabishvili may face criminal punishment in that case.
Salome Zurabishvili will act wisely in this case. This is not a party office; this is the residence of the President of Georgia, so playing the same scenario means committing a criminal offense, which provides many years of imprisonment not only for Zurabishvili but anyone involved in that scenario. Therefore, I do not think Salome Zurabishvili will sacrifice herself and another 100-150 people who can be associated with her. That's why I don't expect such an unreasonable scenario to develop," Kobakhidze told reporters.
