German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier dissolved the lower house of the country's parliament on December 27. Extraordinary parliamentary elections will be held on February 23, 2025.
To recall, on December 16, the Bundestag expressed no confidence in Chancellor Olaf Scholz; 394 deputies refused to give the Chancellor a vote of confidence.
