Kazakh airline Qazaq Air said in a statement that it has suspended flights between Astana and Yekaterinburg for security reasons.
"Qazaq Air" airline company has to stop flights on the Astana temporarily—Yekaterinburg route from December 28 to January 27, 2025. The suspension of flights was carried out to ensure the safety of passengers and crew members as a result of an ongoing assessment of the risks of flights to Russia," the text said.
"The airline will continue to operate flights to Omsk and Novosibirsk, which currently meet Qazaq Air's risk assessment criteria. The resumption of flights to Yekaterinburg will be carried out as a result of a repeated risk assessment," the statement said.
