Another cable break occurred in the Baltic Sea.
"The direct communication between Finland and Estonia was interrupted at 12:26 local time," the Finnish grid company Fingrid said in a statement.
It specifies that the transmission capacity from Finland to Estonia was 650 MW during the outage. Finnish Prime Minister Peter Orpo assured that the incident would not affect the country's energy supply, reported the Finnish Yle periodical.
Fingrid did not exclude the sabotage hypothesis but emphasized that the reasons for the incident still need to be determined.
