The whole country mourns with Magdeburg, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz wrote in the X microblog.
"It's terrible how many people were killed and injured with incredible brutality here at the Christmas market. I wish all the victims and their families strength and a speedy recovery in body and soul," Scholz said.
In the center of Magdeburg, a car crashed into a crowd participating in the Christmas fair. It is known that at least four people were killed, and 205 people were injured. The attack has already been described as a "terrorist attack."
