Erdogan and Macron had a telephone conversation

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron on the telephone. They discussed relations between the two countries and regional and global issues, Anadolu reports.

Erdogan noted that protecting Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty is very important. He also expressed satisfaction with France's decision to reopen its embassy in Syria.

Erdogan informed that Turkey has started work on the return of Syrian asylum seekers to their country. He also emphasized the importance of international cooperation in creating stable conditions in Syria, allowing Syrians to return to their homes. He also spoke about the need for restoration works to be carried out in the region.
