The opposition of Georgia does not accept the presidential elections

The opposition forces that entered the Parliament of Georgia issued a joint statement stating they did not accept the presidential elections on December 14.

"The only legitimate state institution is the president of Georgia. Salome Zurabishvili remains the president of Georgia, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, and the highest representative of the country in foreign relations," their joint statement said.

They considered new parliamentary elections the only way out of the political crisis.

The new president of Georgia will be elected on December 14 and inaugurated on December 29.
