Aliyev's aide, Hikmet Hajiyev, stated that the deployment of forces from any third country on Armenian territory is worrying.
The Azerbaijani side does not see the need for a third party to participate in the border demarcation process, which is carried out under peaceful conditions.
"The activities of the EU mission on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border should be completed. The mission deployment was agreed upon in Prague with the participation of Ilham Aliyev, Emmanuel Macron, EU Council President Charles Michel, and Nikol Pashinyan. As we see, this is becoming a stable mission, and its composition, as well as the territory of the geographical mandate, is expanding. We do not consider the mission of the European Union to be a contributing factor to strengthening peace in the region. This is a worrying factor," he said.
