The Prime Minister of the Syrian Transitional Government, Mohammed al-Bashir, has stated that after the overthrow of Bashar Assad's regime, it is time for Syrians to "enjoy stability and calm." BBC reports to Radar Armenia.
Al-Bashir gave an interview to Al Jazeera after the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group and its allies tasked him with leading the country until March 2025.
On Tuesday, he chaired a meeting in Damascus where members of the new transitional government and Assad's former cabinet gathered.
They discussed the transfer of power. "Today, we held a cabinet meeting. We invited members of the old government and some heads of the administration in Idlib and surrounding areas to facilitate the work for the next two months until we have a constitutional system that can serve the Syrian people," Al-Bashir said to Al Jazeera.
