The administration of the Armenian "Avetis Aharonyan" center operating in Damascus called on the local Armenian community to be vigilant and stay in their apartments.
According to Armenpress, the administration of the "Avetis Aharonyan" center, in a statement published on its Facebook page, considered the current situation in Syria and also urged the Armenians of Damascus to remain restrained in their expressions and not to panic.
"With hope and faith, it will be possible to overcome this period. The management of the "Aharonyan" center expresses its unconditional support to everyone," the statement said.
The National Center has also published the telephone numbers of a group of relevant persons who can be contacted in case of need or in an unsafe situation and who can convey information or news.
